Choosing to seek counseling is an act of courage!
In support of your inquiry about our working together, the information here is intended to help you navigate this process with more ease.
My primary focus is maternal mental health. I work with women experiencing perinatal and postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, fertility, pregnancy loss, pre- and postpartum adjustments, and motherhood challenges.
I hold the space to give a voice to…your grief after the devastating loss of your pregnancy or infant or the hopelessness you feel about your baby dreams coming true or the overwhelm you’re challenged to cope with as a new mother.
Let’s talk first! Schedule a phone call (about 15-20 minutes) to see if we’re suited to working well together. I’ll get a better understanding of your needs and be able to answer any questions you have about me or my practice.
There’s tremendous value in a strong therapist-client connection, so it’s important to me that you feel comfortable about scheduling your first session. There’s no obligation to work with me after our phone call.
To deepen the therapist-client relationship and build momentum, we’ll meet weekly for the first 4 sessions. The 1st session is 90 minutes and the following ones are 50 minutes. By the 6th session, we adjust how often we meet, which often becomes biweekly. Within 12 weeks, we’ll likely transition into scheduling sessions as needed, aka “tune-ups.”
As your partner, I’m committed to showing up for you in each session with winsome energy and resolute belief in your progress.
Progress and Growth
Counseling can have a profound impact on your relationships (past, present, and future), work pursuits, purpose, confidence, and vitality. With counseling you can expect to gain new insights, receive practical action steps to support change in your life, and abandon old thought patterns that no longer serve you.
I’ve come to know counseling as a process that unfolds through commitment and deep inner exploration.
My rate is $135 per 50-minute session; $165 per 90-minute session. Currently, I accept one insurance plan: Blue Cross Blue Shield. If not using insurance, I can provide you with a superbill (an itemized medical receipt) that you submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Be sure to reach out to your insurance company to inquire about your policy’s benefits, deductible, flex spending options, and reimbursement coverage.
